Living in the SF Bay Area we are truly spoiled having so many awesome places that are close and within a days drive. A few weekends ago I got together with my wife, niece, mother, and my brother and his girlfriend.
We were already in Monterry, CA visiting another brother for the weekend and we decided to make a day trip out of it. It was an easy choice to decide to go South as everyone else had never really visited Big Sur and Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park.
These photos were taken from Rocky Point Restaurant, which is right on the coast and off of the parking lot is an access area for allows for great views of the coast.
After stopping here we continued on to our final destination Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. This is the home of the McWay Falls, this is a spectacular 80 foot waterfall into the ocean in a beautiful cove.
